Both the boys are sleeping so here's my chance to post. Nathan's started his new and last quarter!! I'm so excited for him to get his associates and to think two years ago, he didn't have any college education. I remember when we were considering Nathan quiting his job and going to school, I was really nervous and anxious about it. I didn't feel comfortable about it because I didn't know how we were going to make ends meet without him having a full time job. Then Emily, my sister in law, came down and visited. While she was here, we talked about Nathan going to school and she said that no matter what we do, two years are going to pass regardless and we can decide if Nathan will have a degree at the end of those two years or not. In other words, time is going to pass and we can make excuses all we want while the time is passing but we won't get any further along the way. After that, I was all the way on board with Nathan going to school. I stopped fearing and doubting and just did whatever we had to do to get him to go. Now two years is gone by and Nathan is in his last quarter!!! Emilee was a true God send that day.
Anyways, The boys are growing so fast and so cute. I keep thinking "I have to sit down and record all the funny and cute things they do before I forget them" but then I get busy chasing them around and I never get to it. So today, I'm going to record for my sake, what some of the things they do. First of all, Ephraim is crawling! He learned to crawl a month earlier than Benny and I think that he'll walk earlier too. His little personality is becoming more and more manifest each week. To begin with, he is a lot more prone to making messes. I thought a recent visit I took to my friends house depicted perfectly his little personality in contrast to his brothers. I went over to my friends house to help her pack up some books of hers in some boxes. When we arrived, Benny was quiet and cautious. He stayed close to me and kept an eye on my friend to make sure he didn't do anything wrong. After awhile, he loosened up a bit and dared to play with some toys. Ephraim on the other hand didn't lose a second. He crawled to the toys and started pulling things out, then he crawled into the room where we were packing books and started pulling books out of boxes with gusto as if he was saying, "wow! whats this, doesn't matter, gotta keep going, there's more, can't possible touch everything fast enough, what's that over there" and so on. He's like a little wave of curiosity and mischief flowing into the room. I feel like I've already cleaned up more messes from him than I did from Benny at that age. He is definitely more of a fast paced type of guy. Another funny thing about him that I don't remember Benny doing is he is ALWAYS putting stuff in his mouth. Now I know that is a normal thing for kids but this little hobby of his has caused him so many gagging experiences, that its become a daily ritual of saving him from choking. We don't panic whenever we hear Ephraim gagging now. We simply make bets on what he put in his mouth this time as we remove the object before he chokes. Okay, so we don't really bet on whatever he's gagging on, we just remove it. Going outside has become a risky venture. There is sand and little pebbles and bark and what not. Today, he found some mushrooms in the yard and I had to call poison control. Thankfully he's fine but he does keep us on our toes. I've realized that angels are definitely looking after him because there is just no other explanation as to how he has lived this long.
Anyways, my time is up, both boys are awake. To be continued....

Benny stepped on one of daddy's chalk pastel pictures and walked all over the futon. Thankfully I was already in the process of changing the futon cover so it didn't matter. Aren't those little feet precious. I love these little moments when they make cute messes without knowing it.
