So Halloween has come and gone and even though Halloween is kinda stressful for me coming up with costumes I think it's one of the funnest holidays because the kids love it so much and have so much fun. Benny and Ephraim were so so excited to dress up in their costumes this year. Benny got to chose his costume this year and he decided to match Asher. Grandpa Robles bought this little skeleton onsie for Asher and it inspired Benny. Luckily there was a skeleton outfit at the consignment store that fit him perfectly. He originally had wanted to be a fisherman because that is his dream right now, to catch a fish. Ephraim isn't old enough to chose what he wants to be so we decided to make him a ninja turtle. Unfortunately, the turtle shell didn't fit very good and kept sliding off so we just took it off and told people he was a naked ninja turtle. We made the shell ourselves and it turned out pretty good looking though. Also he didn't like wearing the mask so I just tied it around his head. His gettup was a little confusing without the shell though. One guy called him a ninja dinosaur and another older man called him a "little lady." I think he mistook his ninja headband for a girl hair band. It made me laugh thinking of Ephraim as a little lady with his missing tooth and black eye (He got a black eye in nursery when he fell off his chair and he lost one of his teeth when he was trying to get on Benny's bike, actually it got shoved up into his gums so it looked like it was missing but the dentist discovered it and took it out). Anyways the whole day was fun. Halloween is so much funner with kids. I loved taking them trick or treating around the neighborhood. The streets were alive with little children. It was a much different feel than last year when we lived on the other side of town. Our new neighborhood is a lot more family friendly and just feels more homey and cozy to me. Our last place was mostly full of couples with no kids. One house where we trick or treated at had an elderly lady. She looked at the boys and then heard little Asher who was in the stroller crying at the time and said "You don't know it, but you're at the best time in your lives." I really feel that that is true. I feel like life will just get better but I knew what she meant. I feel so blessed to have my three beautiful boys and more on the way someday and my wonderful husband. Life just feels like it can't get much better.

Here's a better angle of the shell

We went to the school where they had a children's Halloween carnival going on. The kids loved it.

 Naked turtle! Scandalous!

 Gotta love Asher's expression

 Fishing for candy

It was perfect, our little ninja turtle looking down into the sewer.
